In November 2021, Gov. Wolf signed Act 81 of 2021 into law which modified Pennsylvania’s outdoor dining rules until December 31, 2024.

- Licensees no longer need to wait for approval to extend or change their outdoor seating areas.
- The outdoor seating area can be extended to anywhere within 1,000 feet of the currently licensed premise.
- There is no cost to extend the premise.
Operators wishing to extend their premise should also contact their liquor liability insurer to add your extended premise to your covered area.
Philadelphia Outdoor Dining/Streeteries
The City of Philadelphia released details on its Outdoor Dining Program in October 2022.
The permanent regulations replace temporary regulations that were established during the pandemic.
