ServSafe Manager Certification
ServSafe Manager Certification is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and satisfies the “person in charge” requirement. PRLA, through our partner HRFoodSafe, regularly holds ServSafe Manager Certification classes and exams throughout Pennsylvania.
New hires who are considered alcohol service personnel must complete RAMP Server/Seller training within 6 months.
ServSafe Alcohol is approved by the PLCB for Server/Seller training. PRLA members receive a 20% discount on each registration. Employees receive a dual certificate.

Free Training Resources
ServSafe has been at the forefront of preparing restaurant and foodservice workers to deliver safe dining experiences for their guests. Because of the challenges presented by COVID-19, ServSafe developed new, free resources aimed at keeping workers and the dining public safe, particularly in areas of conflict de-escalation.
ServSafe Food Handler
The ServSafe Food Handler program delivers consistent food safety training to your employees. This online course covers five content sections: Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-contamination & Allergens, Time & Temperature, and Cleaning & Sanitation. Please note: This program does not satisfy the Pa. Department of Agriculture’s “person in charge” requirement.
Human Trafficking Prevention Training
Our partnership with the AHLA Foundation allows us to provide free, web-based human trafficking prevention training for frontline and supervisory employees. The PACT (formerly EPACT-USA) training is available in 17 languages and integrates with many LMS platforms.
